The thing is, parents don't know they exist and out of those who do very few know how to use them. And they shouldn't be expected to. Do you know how they work? Do you know how much work you would have to do, fiddling with these parental controls in order be sure that the internet is now a safe environment for your child? Also, do you really think parental controls would limit what kids do on the internet in any capacity?
