Jesus this fucking manga really hits close to home. You can't help someone who doesn't want help, but in my honest opinion that doesn't matter. If your circumstances allow you to force someone into taking the steps to improve their life then you should do exactly that. It doesn't matter if it's psychological, emotional or physical or financial violence. The end justifies the means.

Anyway they're behaving like children so you should treat them as such and disregard their autonomy. Obviously it depends on a case by case basis too.
