>Several hours later receive text from anon
>"Hey man, it's now or never, I got some people to pick up from the airport"
>Still not finished yet
>Begrudgingly tell anon to go on without me and thus losing my original option to go.
>Saturday comes
>Due to universal circumstances your mom is allowing you to use the car that weekend to attend your 10 year high school reunion but you're not really trying to stay there long to prepare for the long drive to mare fair (granted by the time you got there, everyone would already be asleep/no panels to attend etc.)
>Go to your uncle's house to get a "fresh" set of clothes and a new haircut beforehand to not look ragged/tacky in your mom's words
>As you change clothes, your driving privileges get revoked for no reason and get dropped off at the reunion.
>Sunday comes
>Get left home
>Mom spends the entire day watching the football game with previously aforementioned uncle while you're stuck at home seething that you aren't trusted more and not being able to hang out with the boys.
The high school reunion party was ok I guess but I couldn't go all out and be my true self
And there was also the risk of being pulled over while being a nig
