Honest opinion on these people?

I keep seeing Americans say how California is a socialist shithole with rampant crime and homeless people everywhere, but if you look at the statistics, they're the largest state by GDP AND they're growing faster than supposedly pro-business states like Texas. In fact, they're growing only slightly slower than Florida (6% vs 6.5%). Objective reality doesn't mesh with what anons here claim. You can't be a failing socialist hellhole that businesses are leaving like a sinking ship and still be thriving economically. What gives?

I'd like to hear from ACTUAL California residents or at least someone who knows California/has lived there for years.

I've never lived there and don't know what to fucking believe anymore. So my question is, is it a fucking shithole or is it a paradise? Basically does drumpft have a legit reason to martial law the fucking place because it's Hell on earth or is it as good as it can get and he's just trying to steal power PURELY for power grab reasons when the crime rate isn't bad enough for that?

Can /pol/ post why California is the worst state. Mainly their politics.
