I am cross dominant. I shoot normal right-handed long guns left handed, I can shoot right handed in a pinch just not as accurately. Ejection port hasn't been an issue for me, prob depends on the rifle. I shoot handguns normally right handed but with more of an isoceles stance so I can aim with my left eye, and I keep both eyes open.
I didn't know about cross dominance for a long time and that fucked me up trying to force myself to aim with my right eye. Waste of time. Aim with your dominant eye and learn how to shoot and operate left handed instead, much easier.
