I dunno how many other people here have noticed this, but something I've consistently seen with any cartoon (or anime) property that's had both cel-era animation and digital-era animation is that when it transitions from cel to digital, the color palette take an immediate nosedive and never recovers: the shadows are greyer, the contrast is lessened, the colors in general are less varied and definitely less vibrant, the whole thing just looks significantly more flatter overall
