I had started working on a super heavy deck then stumbled onto a few different archetypes instead (pic related), but I might go back and finish it. Pendulums never really clicked for me but I'm a recovering boomer

How the FUCK does it work, and how the FUCK do I break into the business? I’m working on something I’m confident has real potential under an independent label. Even if it doesn’t hit “mainstream” success when published independently, I believe it can still be plenty successful enough. I’d really appreciate it if any lurkers familiar with the business could suggest literature or course types that might enrich my understanding of the publishing/distribution landscape.
