If you start Genshin all over again a new account, do only world exploration and Archon quests, without the meta chasing, filler patches, filler events and whatever, you get tens of hours of narrative gameplay pretty much in line with your average shounen anime. Yes we can debate a lot of issues and the fact that is an ageing game, but there is a lot of meat on the grill there.
In a world where piles of bullshit like Minecraft and Fortnite exists and do well, Genshin has a lot of good reasons to be a masterpiece in open world anime games.
