Everyone's bringing guns that kill Scyllax good because those same guns are also broadly effective against VEQs, TEQs and tanks, all common targets for a TAC list.

There are fewer guns which kill Thralls good and those guns that do kill Thralls good tend to only kill Thralls good so they're less common, Volkites the only exception that comes to mind.

I brought up tacticals because in most of your games massed tacticals will be your opponents best answer to a Thrall horde and its clearly a shitty answer. No enemy will lack for D2 weapons to kill your scyllax.
