Should you change your whole workout routine when on a cut or just go on a deficit and accept lower numbers on your lifts as time cutting increases?

The way it goes
> brother diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2022 at 25yo, went from a master electrican to a bed dweller back at home
> father diagnosed with brain cancer in May 2024 and passed away Jan 1, 2025
> current gf has unrealistic expections of life, sends me $800k+ homes, says 2-3 vacations to her family’s Florida home and a trip out of the country is expected, wants all that and to be a stay at home wife. I’m an engineer and do cabinetry on the side and that life would still be unaffordable
Life sucks right now but at least I look forward to going to the gym everyday. Gained some weight this year but I’ll get back to 220lbs (im 6-2). I’m at 260rn
Why is everything so fucking gay now? My gf is my biggest stress and I don’t think there is anything wrong with me saying I can’t afford the life she wants and that we should breakup. I have my family back home (I live in another state) I have to worry about but she tells me it’s not my problem to worry about them and that my mother is an adult and needs to figure it out.
What gives?

Lower body fat tips
19, 6’3”, 178 lbs.
I lift regularly, but my thighs (especially inner) and waist are holding lots of fat. I also have quite a fatty upper pubic area. The rest of my body is quite lean. How can I go about changing fat distribution and/or losing the fat? The reasons why I want to reduce fat in these areas is pretty obvious, mainly sexual health.
Tips frens?
