The thing is, it just straight up looks better in the legacy filter, not just more accurate, so I don't even get doing it for newer players.

I can't imagine any reason not to use it. It's not only more accurate, it looks better than the default period.

I can't see any reason the legacy filter shouldn't be standard. Not only is it more accurate to MGS3, it simply looks better, period.
