If you really have hundreds of blu-rays to go through then you're probably better off bending the knee the Nvidia's hardware accelerated AV1 encoder which runs at like 100+ FPS. It seems to be able to produce visually lossless 1080p video around 5 Mbps which is still a whopping 75% reduction from the 20 Mbps 1080p blu-ray source.

5 Mbps = 4.5 GB per 2 hour movie
X100 = 450 GB

20 Mbps = 18 GB per 2 hour movie
X100 = 1,800 GB

At high compression efficiency that is! A kind hardworking anon tested NVENC AV1 against libsvtav1 and it's not on par with M2 it does seem to achieve M8 compression efficiency which is respectable. I still advocate for software AV1 encodes but M8 through GPU encoding is still pretty impressive.

Yeah but the ONLY GPU video encoder that isn't complete fucking dogshit is the m NVENC AV1 one which requires you pay the RTX 5000 toll. Are you seriously going to pair a fucking RTX 5000 with your 2500K? lol

This is what I got. I though the constant quality settings would be the same between the encoders yet nvenc highest quality at cq 29 scores the same as svt-av1 cq 30 preset 2?
