I actually plan on doing pic related, though to a less coomer level. Nationality plays a big part in my setting, so I'm running with the idea that the western dark elf nations tend to be like old school drow, and eastern dark elves tend to be more outgoing (but still have that dominant streak).

There was a single dark elf, Eol. And the Moriquiendi which were dark elves because they never saw the light of the two trees. But still weren't evil since sexy evil elf waifus didn't really cross the mind of Tolkien.
