Because everything in the Dark World is rooted into one mega being.
Basically my theory is that every Darkner is a fragment of a whole, with every fragment being a toy being controlled by another "friend" that's interacting with you.
I find it funny that Ralsei is shown as a plush toy in the game because I feel like it's alluding to what he really is: something being manipulated without true conscious, just reacting to your actions and going from there. Whatever he actually is just a projection from the player, and the Dark World is trying to roleplay as that as best as it could.
