It sucks and it has always sucked.
After playing through Black Mesa and being unable to put it down for a second except to sleep, I tested out the HL2 rerelease, specifically Lost Coast to see if my opinion was still the same, and what a genuinely boring piece of garbage. The combine are ass and the weapons are even more ass.

Was planning to replay Half Life and the episodes...
... but I decided 'fuck it' after playing Lost Coast. The Combine are such a boring fucking enemy compared to the marines in the original and Black Mesa. The gunplay is lousy, weightless and lifeless, especially compared to Black Mesa where the shotty gibs enemies.
