The actual Mare author won't say what happened beyond a "legal inquiry" that scared them bad enough they pulled everything including the Githubs and anything beyond that is speculation. There are zero ramifications to Dalamud, the fact that Mare was chosen for some kind of C&D and not Dalamud is proof of this, C&Ding mods does not happen when you're doing it from the bottom up and the only other plugin to get C&D'd was Playerscope, which scraped and hoarded Player IDs for no readily apparent reason (the plugin and its author did not have to do that for the plugin to work, if they hashed IDs after reading and stored *those* to make them unreadable to anybody saving them there may probably have been no issue, the developers don't give a shit about LuckyBancho which regularly scrapes the Lodestone in a similar fashion for guesses at player numbers).
