That can mean a lot of stuff.
1. Mahomes started out so high it was unsustainable similar to what we saw with Dan Marino.
2. Nick Wright's theory: Mahomes is coasting in the regular season out of boredom since his season doesn't begin until overtime of AFC championship games
3. Chiefs became a defensive team so his coordinator Matt Nagy is telling him to not play hero ball.
4. He no longer has the weapons to put up elite stats. This is debunked by 2022 when he had nobody and set the all time record of total yards.

He's been to 3 straight superbowls so it's kind of a non-issue. If this is what decline looks like I hope it continues.
