I have rolled out of bed. Now it's time to get some work done.
Eating that grilled cheese the other day has convinced me to finally buy a pan so I can make them at home...

sir,, the British class system isn't as bad as India's but it's probably a lot worse than most countries'. It's not enough to be affluent, you have to be born into it for a couple of generations and do certain cultural things. It's very silly.

I've not been to the office since moving but I'd like to go in more often once I have my own desk next time and don't have to rely on the hot desk being free.

I used to have a 2 hour commute each way when I worked in London. That really took it out of me.

Mine's on the smaller side but it works just fine for me. It just holds a lot of drinks and some cheese. And some ice cream in the freezer bit as of today.

I would have gone for somewhere cheaper but my mother insisted that I opt for a nicer place and offered to help cover the difference, which was very nice of her. I'm still her baby, I suppose.

No idea. A couple dozen hours probably. I've got (at least) another 30 papers to leave and I still have to write the damn thing. It would be a lot easier if he gave me a less dumb topic to research that's even tangentially related to our field. He needs to forcibly talk to someone in the compsci faculty and be dragged kicking and screaming off the AI hype train. I shouldn't even be humouring this project.

Yeah, that's the plan. Fortunately I'm very meticulous when I write stuff and usually submit the first draft without any issues (sans peer review stuff) so I'm not too worried. I just need to put everything down in the first place.
