Yes, I myself and others have realized that they have no "skin in the game" because it's a big soulless mega-corp so even if they do a good job, it doesn't matter. So they try to maximize it for something they DO care about.

Everyone maximized troons and women, so they're finding new avenues to impress their peers. It being visual and easy to ipmliment is a bonus really.
