That's what I've been doing for a few years now, primarily focusing on platforms I didn't grow up with and games America didn't officially get. It's been a great time. Having no nostalgia for the games or systems, I can declare that the state of games in ye olden days was objectively better than it is now and it's not even close.

I feel like, if one were to have stopped keeping up actively with the newest in gaming after the PS3/360, they wouldn't have been missing out too badly. Maybe get a used PS4 for Bloodborne if you can find one for dirt cheap like I did.
