What are your thoughts on TX-1? Probably better to play on an actual arcade machine considering the hassle with wheels on MEME and being a multi-screen game, but you can make a pad work. I felt it played pretty well if you got the sensitivity right. Might be too old for you though, but it sits neatly between Pole Position and Outrun in design.
