my dad left heavy metal magazines lying around the house, was the one to buy and play the M rated games, and frequently put on gory horror films when i was a child. i always had access to adult media as a kid and was never told there was something that was off limits in terms of what i can watch/play/read. limits were put on what i can do and when. i wasn't always allowed on the computer or always allowed to watch TV and i had a curfew and would be punished for bad behaviour.
