I know that's the industries current belief but I genuinely don't believe it to be the case, especially for long term profits. Games that have whales like that lose so many potential players over time instead of gaining then that they eos way sooner than they reasonably should. Especially with how costly it is to develop an MMO. It's short sighted and retarded.

These threads are always hilarious because you get to see the valve drones have their entire internal thought process broken down in real time.
GoG has 80-85% library conformity with Steam. Basically anything that's not there is EA/Ubi/2K shit that has so much DRM on it it wouldn't even function, or worthless indie asset flips that GoG won't sell because they actually have a quality control process.
GoG let's you actually own the game you download. No forced updates, no work around to avoid them, no "offline modes" and no requirement to download other software to actually install them.
So basically you have a thread full of idiots sucking Steam off for literally being an objectively worse place to buy games, and their comeback to this is a bunch of shit features no one uses and you could still have access to if you really needed by adding the gog copy as a non-steam game, while still having all the advantages of buying from GoG.
And then of course their final desperate plea is, BUT I COULD JUST PIRATE GOG GAMES as if that doesn't also apply to steam.
