I think the vast majority of people doesn't and will never like Sandy... which isn't to say much to be honest, considering how many of the fans love Lucy and Paulo so much, even though they both suck.
What I mean is, I don't think most people even sympathizes with her. Many many ears ago, yeah, she was a sweet girl and all, but nowadays the only image we have from her is of a shallow, manipulative, dismissive and cheating girlfriend.

While I agree with >>149838717 in the sense that modern sandy is just a hoe, I can see your point. Past Sandy was kind of the ideal person, her only downside was being a bit distant due to her priorities, but she was still sweet and caring, and it felt genuine.

I guess this was the reason why Taeshi decided to do what she did, and turned her into an excessively selfish person, who showed no interest in her boyfriend, made no effort to repair things before it reached the almost-breaking point, showed little interest in being part of his life, etc.

Modern Sandy, like I said, is a hoe, and her attempt to mend things with Mike feels non-genuine as hell. Makes you wonder why the hell does she even bother to do it, considering her relationship with Mike offers so little nowadays.

I also agree with this. I don't particularly like ANY of the main characters:
>Mike: nowadays only operates in 'spineless-worm' or 'absolute-sperg-gremlin' mode
