why is it that certain high gain sounds make it feel like I play in molasses?
Hard to describe but like I have to be ultra precise or else I'll get a dead note and it will sound choppy. Much harder than just playing on a clean channel or amp.
Meanwhile other hi gain sounds have the opposite effect and ridiculously easy to play kind of in a slippery way.
Do you know what I mean? I wonder which aspect of the sound shaping causes this?

I don't really get the CAGED system. As in what it is or how it helps navigate the fretboard.
Is it worth learning, or are there better/alternative methods to achieve the same or more.
Does it have disadvantages?
