Did you know you can turn the ionosphere into a cyclotron in the sky? If you had say, a relativistic beam of bound state positronium, a nice duct in the ionosphere might be useful in propogating it to the ground from conjugate point to conjugate point. Maybe.

For me, it's the Dugway Zapper. The most well documented (((UAP))) sightings you've never heard of. It wasn't a craft, but a weapons test.
