In terms of what is the most likely outcome, though, it's naïve to think that Israel isn't going to take over everything from Gaza to the West Bank while controlling Syria and Lebanon as puppet states. the whole point is that this allows Euro-Atlantic powers to have access to the Indian Ocean for trade. This then keeps the Chinese out. With Iranian regime change toward a pro western monarchy, the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative will simy not go forward. China will be isolated. The US and its allies will then dominate trade from western Africa, the Middle East, India, and straight on through to Southeast Asia. Robert D. Kaplan wrote about this strategy in his book Monsoon.
