I should say they THINK in *their* mind they won because their "sane" and you're "crazy" if you're in therapy or get thrown in the psych ward after they argue with you, lose and then "feel threatened" or "concerned about your mental health" aka gaslighting.

Why? It's just the same fucking status quo that it's been since forever. It's no different than if Taeshi suffered a heart attack and left the comic unfinished.

Having started the game during Heavensward being current myself, ShB felt like events were finally escalating again and the Ascians finally did shit (instead of just fucking around which it damn well felt like during StB) even if they ultimately died when it came time to fight the WoL. Which is to say, about damn time. Every major story beat having a year or two of waiting in between them makes things seem that much more drawn out... but I suppose I can understand the viewpoint of a new player thinking they went too early even if I don't agree.
