I needed to free the Ancient Dragon that was imprisoned in 1d+t, just right below this realm, before a rogue faction of an insectoid race unleashed it and caused a cascading destruction of reality up the chain. Since that's why she was imprisoned in the first place, for rampant destruction of reality itself.
But to do that, I also had to restore her sanity. It's not something humans can fully comprehend. I myself only understand it through experience, it's not an intellectual pursuit for me.
