Your issue is the belief that the writer hates shonen or superheroes just because the tone is comedic

The "one punch" joke can only work for a while, the transition towards more classic shonen was inevitable. You can do it the right way, without losing your tone, like in the webcomic. Or you can do it the wrong way, with exaggerated "epicness" like the manga
