You'll be surprised how compatible linux actually is with almost all games these days. Search a few games that you enjoy/want to play and I can almost guarantee that users on ProtonDB will report them to work quite well, a lot of times without any tweaks at all.
Biggest problem with gaming on linux is that some big multiplayer games don't work because of anti cheat.
