What doesn't make sense to me, is pretending that a game that costs $6 right now, is somehow in any way "outperforming" FFVII Rebirth PC port that's sold over a million copies in 6 months, generating more money than the FFIX port has in nearly a decade. Just doesn't make a lick of sense to me! Seems like an ulterior motive is at play here, to make a baseless statement like that in a thread that has nothing to do with that game. I do hope FFIX Remake is real though, not just for your sake, but because I love Final Fantasy and want to play Final Fantasy games!

It's a spin off of course but it honors the legacy of FF in an action RPG format in a really, really satisfying way that could easily work in a bigger budget, mainline game. Great Jobs, great masculine action, great boss fights. The only thing its missing is, yeah, some deeper polish and budget. A city, real exploration. A new Stranger of Paradise type action RPG game that is surrounding a different game (I say Final Fantasy V because Jobs) would be fantastic.

>removed the game over when main char dies BS
Yeah, it's annoying. But to be honest, it's a part of balance. Playing Persona it's the exact same rules, and it doesn't really bother me there. I think "change party leader" in battle is a major feature though that should have been added in to a FFXIII "final mix" a long time ago. I have more faith in a FFXIII Remaster than I do FFIX Remake.

Yeah, which is why anyone mocking the rose concept should just leave!

I played it for the first time last year though and I remember more things about FFXIII than I do FFXVI, which was a bloated and boring gray modern mess in comparison to a colorful and classic ATB JRPG like FFXIII.
