NG4's flaws are easier to forgive because at the very least it feels like a brand new game and its own thing. The gameplay is different, the setting is different, the vibe is different etc

DD2's biggest problem is that it feels like a remake of DD1, so you can't even use the "Well its not as good but its something different at least" argument. At best its a DD1 sidegrade, which is still profoundly disappointing after 12 years

haven't had a chance to play ninja gaiden 4, is there a reason ayane looks so different? was there a time skip or something or was platinum just trying their own spin on the character?
