a mixture of stats, skill activation, debuffs from others and pace strategy
right now we have a LOT of people running pace chase so with 10 pace chasers, they can't really activate their abilities that require them to be in the front and suffer as a consequence from it
late surger and front runners are stronger in the /uma/ race rooms right from my personal observation because they also seem to get rarely debuffed as well
