The Digimon universe is stupidly powerful, a few mega Digimon curbstomp 95% of the legendaries alone. Certain Digimon can't even exist for too long lest their entire world falls apart around them, there's at least one that's described to cause a star to collapse every time it unsheathes its sword and it's not even considered top ten, you have Champion Digimon capable of controlling time and space, etc. Magnemite, Porygon, Rotom don't do shit, Yggdrasil isn't something any of them could affect, they'd just be considered regular monsters that are in line with rookies and megas.

In terms of sales, yeah, Pokemon wins, no monster raising franchise comes close. But the sheer autism of power scaling when it comes to Digimon makes Pokemon look like a joke.
