Vtubers, and streamers in general, are modern day celebrities in a most direct sense. As once we had David Bowie and Arnold Schwartznegger, now we have Asmongold and Gawr Gura. I'm not saying this to make some argument or cheer for any side, it's a plain fact, a naked truth that some people are still reluctant to accept. And I'm not saying that this is good either, but we have what we have, for better or worse.
All I can say is that things will likely to continue moving in that direction in the foreseeable future.
