While Rome 2 has serious issues, even after the tons of updates, Attila was actually a good showing.
Pharaoh, after the Dynasties upgrade, is the mechanically best title. It has an actual economy, diplomacy works and combat is more than simple hammer and anvil tactics while stat checking the enemy.
One can argue that bronze age is a boring setting, I'd disagree, but mechanically it's way better than what CA's main studio has been putting out for ages.

Nothing wrong with that, imo Britannia still had quit some issues and never managed to hook me when I played it.
