The game could do with tighter design, but I think a certain amount of sloppiness is inevitable when you release new sets as frequently as they do and need to create new cards and new mechanics for each of them

Plus, what is most dominant at any one time might not even necessarily be the best deck- bans are not just to rectify design mistakes, they can and should also be used to freshen up the format. Investoids will complain but fuck those niggers.
