It was like having a portable SNES in your hands that had an actual lit screen. I think portable handhelds have aged poorly, especially modern ones but I also think that the SP is the only exception.

The only people that would advocate for emulation over hardware are women that need save states. Input lag and audio/graphical glitches doesn't mean much to people that buy a subscription service just to emulate.
