It seems the more popular the game, the more likely it is to get deleted.
It's just weird, Deltarune hasnt even been out that long but it's one of the most popular games to release all year. Why try and stifle organic game discussion on /v/?
once again, what are they making room for? Because I'm looking down the catalogue and I'm just seeing a lot of garbage that hardly has anything to do with video games. Reddit/twitter screencap threads, e-celeb threads, a pepe thread where he just says something inane, that kind of thing. Why not delete THOSE threads before deleting any video game threads? I don't get it. It's petty, it's micromanagement.
When you delete those threads, those people aren't just going to move to another board simply becauase you told them to, because they cant understand what they're doing wrong.
The "no reoccuring threads" rule is one of the most vague on the entire site and is only enforced when a particular moderator has it out for a certain game.
What I also dont get is they made these other video game boards that were focused around multiplayer games and mobile games, and those would be suited for generals. People WANT to have generals there, but strangely enough they're not allowed.
Either way, does a game being so popular that threads keep getting made and tons of people want to post in them, does that mean it's a general? I don't really think so. I think it just is an organic expression of people who want to talk about a game. Why is it so bad if a popular game gets talked about repeatedly?
I remember when Expedition 33 came out and there were like 40 fucking threads on the catalogue about it at any given time. And yet interest fizzled off, and they went away. So just let it die off naturally. If people are interested ,let them talk about it until they get bored. Once things get on life support and they can't sustain a real thread, THEN go to /vg/.
