Honestly just go read it. After I did I was able to see its influence in a number of other things. Make sure to read the original game though not the remake. A lot of the game has gameplay similar to an adventure game where you just around in the timeline with its time travel mechanic, you have to collect items and solve puzzles, etc. The OST is great too.
