It's more a "half-kind" than a "half-handsome" face. Seeing as how his original form was hideous to him, Sweet Mask hid it away from others. Keeping him partially handsome comes off more as him clinging onto vanity rather than retaining his humanity. Much like how Garou could never truly become a full monster, Sweet Mask's obsession with image and public relations are at odds with his own sense of justice, so unless he was secretly very handsome and had a complex about it, his "true" form shouldn't be like that.
