COVID also drove prices up and fucked up the supply chain and then even after the supply chain got fixed our corporate overlords just kept the prices high because people had gotten accustomed to paying them and they wanted to make up for the lost revenue from the COVID shutdown.

So you've got people who don't really like to go out as much as they used to, entertainment venues that have jacked up their prices, and a working class population that can't afford the jacked up prices. The end result should be obvious.
