This genre has always been garbage and people who pretend its not are bad at it. The gameplay has always been bulldozing through monsters without thinking, the only gameplay is in strategizing farming and trading.

In fact its so bad I think if you "play" ARPGs offline you aren't even playing a video game at all, as the only appeal to these games is entirely social, otherwise they are just low engagement time wasters. Diablo 2 is a bad game. All these clones of it are bad as well.
