I'm skeptical. American football players among other athletes can suffer several dozen concussions throughout their career and not have any distinct personality changes until years after their injuries.
Unless his head injury caused him to have internal brain bleeding and get a stroke, a head bump isn't directly causing any personality changes by itself.
He could indirectly get anxiety and low level PTSD from the injury and long recovery that could cause him to spaz out, in combination with him already being an autistic game dev. But you don't suddenly crash out from a head bump.
