40k daemons take a bit more eldritch vibe most of the time, but they overlap a lot. Ascension to daemonhood is a mechanic in both. Possession is a thing, but 40k really emphasizes the parasitic nature of daemons, fantasy makes a bigger deal about dark gods wanting entertainment from mortals.
