That's a narrative which Jews fed to boomers.

1) They were not more advanced in general and indeed less advanced in general when it came to effective implementation of what they did have vs the US/UK. But they were ahead in many small aspects(rocketry, IR spotlights, welding, intermediate caliber rifles starting with the FG42) while being behind in others(radar, sonar, miniaturization, TV, jets, fast response times for artillery). And even when they were behind in say jets they were desperate enough to introduce platform which turned out to underperform in the hope that they had a game changer they could iterate upon after field testing.

2) They had some very good officers and a good training regime given what they had to deal with as the war continued.

3) They weren't evil, Holodoax didn't real but I wish it was because they deserved it.

I fundamentally dislike star trek, xelee, and culture shit because they are oddly more fantastical and less grounded than actual space fantasy while providing a thick enough veneer of bullshit that libtards reading such fiction think it validates their moral and political narratives. This isn't unique to the super soft scifi masquerading as plausible but it was one of the worst offenders for decades.

Ironically there isn't any genre of extremely hard scifi which depicts an "age of solar system warfare" wherein shit like nuclear pulse propulsion features prominently. You could actually make such a thing easily but must spergs like myself with interest in it would rather make a GURPS homebrew about it and simulate the combat rather than write a book about the 30 Years War in Space.

Narratives are fundamentally something which appeals to a subset of the population we know as libtards while spergs who tend to be right wing prefer wargames and never betwixt the two shall meet.
