it's not all worthless. my degree gives me the right to obtain a license that cannot be had any other way. even if you were to self study and know the subject matter better than me (which is unlikely, but possible to do), national and state regulators would never allow you to sit for the licensing exams. even though my job sucks, at least i'm well paid.
