Polk sent troops to guard Texas, since Mexicunts were coping and seething that they lost. The Mexicunts insisted the border was not the Rio Grande but about a hundred miles to the north of that. So when those little jumping beans hopped the border, illegally as they love to do, and shot US servicemen dead, the righteous wrath of the American Giant came crashing down on them. We should've driven them out of the country entirely and taken it for ourselves.
