As someone who really loves the books, Game of Thrones really started to suck for me as early as S2 when they started giving everyone paper mache armor to save money.
I would honestly say S1 is the only 5 star season because it's the only one that is almost a 1:1 adaptation of the books with high budgeted costumes and sets.
Even though they had the BIGGEST HIT SHOW IN THE WORLD, for some reason, they decided to start cost-saving in S2 (what the fuck is wrong with Hollywood)
